OUR HISTORY

Solid Rock was founded over 25 years ago by Pastors Steve Coronado Sr. and Steve Coronado Jr. Pastor Steve Sr. had already been serving in the ministry for 25 years and Pastor Steve Jr. had just graduated from Oral Robert’s University. Both had a stirring in their hearts to start a new venture and obeyed the calling of God to start Solid Rock in 1988.

After searching for a couple of years for the right place, Solid Rock was able to miraculously purchase the historical ‘Ayers Theater’ of Corpus Christi, debt-free, and made it it’s permanent home.

Twenty years later, the Yorktown Campus was also purchased debt free, which added a second location for Solid Rock.

Solid Rock is known for it’s powerful worship and teachings which have empowered the lives of many. It is currently serving over 2000 people weekly.
